Sweep on the south side

27 October 2005
What a series. I don't think there is a team more fun to watch than the White Sox were in the postseason this year. It also helps that I was rooting for them in every series because:
1) I hate the bandwagon Red Sox fans, and were glad they got rid of them early.
2) Almost half of ESPN's analysts picked the Angels to win it all.
3) The White Sox took full control against the 'stros who knocked out the Braves again this year. And also, the 'stros were the other half of the ESPN analysts picks to win it all.
4) Nobody thought the Sox should be in postseason to begin with, especially this guy.
4) This really gives a lot of hope to this guy.

Only good news with baseball being over, is that hopefully I'll get to watch the awards fly in during the offseason:
Hank Aaron award: Andruw Jones
Roberto Clemente award: John Smoltz
Best award ever. He's the reason that I sport the "21". Too bad you can only win once...
MVP: Andruw Jones
Rookie of the Year: Jeff Francoeur
Manager of the Year: Bobby Cox
