Ben and I were watching SportsCenter one day, and they came across a story of an autistic kid named Jason McElwain. He never made the basketball team in high school, but he was the most beloved student trainer that has ever graced their basketball court. In his senior year, on senior night, his coach put him in, and something amazing happened (click the picture to watch the video).


On the downside to this amazing story, I found the worst sports story ever. You'll have to read it yourself. I couldn't believe it when I read it. Horrible. Absolutely horrible.

I've been a coach at the high school and collegiate level (come on, club ball counts!), and I've never told one of my players to do this, ever.
