Extreme Beer Fest 2010

On Saturday, a few of us from work drove up to Boston to meet up with Scott and attend Beer Advocate's Extreme Beer Fest. In short, brewers from around the region go crazy and show off beer that they have aged in whiskey/bourbon barrels, are filtered through orange peels, taste like key lime pie (which was awesome), etc. The great part is that you can sample an amazing sampling of beer, while the downside is that you will never be able to buy/taste any of these ever again.

Among the many highlights, including hearing a guy get called a "puddle" since he was too drunk, was sampling Pliny the Younger (image on right), the number one beer on BA as well as Sam Adams' Utopias, the strongest commercial beer in the world.

The other highlight had to be seeing five guys crash at Scott's parents house, including some with sleeping bags on the floor, and then waking up to his mom making breakfast for all of us in the morning.
