Why was Obama wearing a White Sox hat on Opening Day?

Yeah, we get it. You're from Chicago. You like taking the Dan Ryan south, instead of north. You traveled to Copenhagen when our country was debating health care and Afghanistan to show the IOC that the Olympics should be held in your city (which, by the way, didn't work out so well). You called Buehrle after he tossed a perfect game. I think at this point we all get it: You love Chicago and you love the White Sox.

But when, when did it acceptable to have another team (our Nation's capital, for those that don't follow baseball) invite you to throw out their first pitch of the season and you show up with your White Sox hat on? In all of my years watching baseball, I've never seen that kind of disrespect before. Apparently boos rang out from the crowd, and I'm beginning to wonder if they were deserved. (However, this is nothing compared to last year where Yankees were much more creative about how they mock people).

When G.W. was in office, he threw out his majority of Opening Day pitches. And by majority, I mean during the WS after 9/11, for the Cardinals, for the Reds and of course, for the Nationals. Not once did he wear the colors of another team ... and this comes from a guy who used to own a Major League Baseball team!

Don't get me wrong, I love the city of Chicago (probably to an unhealthy amount) and I also don't think there should be anyone besides Obama throwing out the first pitch at every Nationals game until someone else is in office, I just think that next time he should do it with a little more class ... or stick to opening day pitches on the south side of Chicago.

Blame this on his political stances and not which hand he throws with, but did anyone besides me appreciate the irony that even his pitches are way too far to the left?
