Nebraska != Michigan

michigan fan brands
About a month ago, I bought some stuff from ESPNShop.com. One of those products was a cool little fan brand that you put on the grill or in a pan that sears a logo of your favorite team into whatever you're cooking. Since we smuggle steaks back from Nebraska whenever we fly back, I figured this might be a fun little thing to purchase and try out. So I was a little disappointed the first time this arrived in the mail.

I opened it up to find two Michigan brands instead. What a letdown. With this, I called into customer support and let them know of their error. After about 15 minutes of convincing the guy on the phone that I knew there is a difference between Nebraska and Michigan (and the letters N and M for that reason), he finally said that he would put in an order for my replacement. At this point, I told him that I was going to hold onto the Michigan ones until the new ones arrived.

After not receiving anything (including a confirmation email) for about two weeks, I called back in and at that point they said my order was "stalled" and they would push it through. This sets up the story for last night.

Our friends Zach and Kate are visiting from Nebraska. They are staying with Zach's brother and his wife, so we invited all four of them over for dinner last night. When I opened the door for them, I noticed a package on the ground that was roughly the same size as the one I received a month earlier. I got excited opening it and told everyone that it was something cool that I might try on the grill when I made dinner. But then, as you can see in the picture above, they did it again. They sent two more Michigan fan brands. I was actually stunned when I opened it and now I have no clue if they will believe me or not when I call them back to let them know that once again, Michigan is not Nebraska. Maybe this is just hazing for joining the Big 10 in a few months.
