For the past couple of seasons, we've really taken it on the chin in our softball leagues. That was, up until this month, when we won two different tournaments in the span of two weeks.

Sure, one was in the F playoff division in our beer-drinking night league, but the other was the ESPN tournament where we've lost in the finals the past four years (to the exact same team). It's been at least three years since we've won either of those, so it finally felt great to win both of them within a couple of weeks of each other. Not bad for a bunch of guys who sit behind their desks all day playing on their computers and get out on the field once a week to relive their glory days.

Maybe the good luck charm was when Christi brought Henry out to the field so he could watch his old man play for the first time.
