College football award time (week 5)

02 October 2005
Upset of the day: Michigan over Michigan State. I'm still surprised every year that these two teams don't play on Week 13. It looked like this was the year that the Spartans were going to capitalize, and send the Michigan fans into a season long panic. Don't even begin to tell me that Florida losing was a bigger upset. We all know that they are overrated, and Chris Leak is horrible.

Heisman Disappointment: After gaining the props award last week, Maroney couldn't do anything against the feisty Penn State defense on Saturday. He had a very horrible 48 yards on 16 carries.

Heisman Props: Reggie Bush. No doubt about it. Bush had 158 yards on the ground, scoring twice and almost averaged a first down every time that he carried the ball.

Heisman Watch: Brady Quinn. The Irish relied heavily on Quinn as he threw for 440 yards and 3 touchdowns to improve Notre Dame to 4-1. He could just be the guy to knock off the Trojans at home since Sam Keller & Co. just couldn't get the job done.

Biggest Disappointment: (tie) There weren't more people at our "House-Gate" before the game. We had a good turnout (8 people), but it could've been a lot better if everyone was at the house. Adam: I hope you had a good time in Lawrence, because we sure had a good time here.

Biggest Disappointment: (tie) Brian Helge for not catching the Hot Dog that was shot out of Der Wiener Schlinger. I looked up, and the guy right in front of me caught it, and I had my hand directly below his, with my thumb grippin' the 'dog.
